About us
perisens was founded in 2009 as a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich and has developed to a worldwide known specialist in automotive radar and communication systems. Our name perisens derives from the terms PERI|pherals and SENS|ors and stands for automotive environmental sensor technology. We support car manufacturers and suppliers in the field of radar technology and also communication systems.
We are offering services and measurement solutions for radar sensors and radar covers (so called radomes). Our products Radar Target Simulator (RTS) and Radome Measurement System (RMS) are worldwide used by car manufacturers and their suppliers in research & development, quality control and production (end-of-line) testing.
perisens technology helps our customers to improve the radar transparency of automotive (metallic) paints, to ensure that emblems with complex design do not cause radar interference and to develop the next generation of radar sensors.
Every day a dedicated team of specialists in RF hardware and signal processing works on technically demanding challenges to develop innovative solutions for our customers.
perisens attaches great importance to the highest quality of our products and services, but also to the work of the employees. We ensure this quality with our management system, which is certified according to ISO 9001:2015.

Our background as spin-off and our ongoing cooperation with the Technical University of Munich gives us the experience to build a bridge between research and industrial practice. We work on improving knowledge and developing technical innovations and transfer them from lab to industry.

The story behind our logo
Our logo represents a Trihedral Corner Reflector which is often used as a reference target for radar measurements. But it can also be used to make targets more visible for automotive radar sensors. Already small-sized corner reflectors can increase the detection range of small radar targets (such as bicycles or motorcycles) significantly and thus improve the safety of these vulnerable road users.
Specification of shown corner reflector:
- Edge length 60mm
- Radar Cross Section (RCS) @76.5GHz: 1m² (= the average size of a motorcycle)
